Charter released the official Spectrum TV app for Apple TV customers last week.
After several months of waiting, the app is available for free on the App Store. And, as promised, Zero Sign-On support is finally live.
As a subscriber you can now watch content both live and on-demand on Apple TV without having to login to your Spectrum account. But in order for this to work, you must connect the Apple TV device to your Spectrum home internet network.
To use Charter’s new Spectrum app for Apple TV, you need two things:
- A Spectrum TV and Internet Subscription.
- An Apple TV 4K.
If you already have both, all you need to do is connect the Apple TV device to your Spectrum Home Internet service, then go to the App Store on your Apple TV, download the app, and that’s it.
From now on all content will be available on your Apple TV and logging in will no longer be required.
According to The Verge, “the new Spectrum app is not going to radically change your Apple TV experience,” but if you’re already a subscriber, it’s good to know there’s another way to access your favorite content.
